ISLAMIC CLEANSING (SERTU) OPERATIONS TOWARDS HALAL CERTIFICATION

Provides our clients with the process of approved Islamic Cleansing (Sertu) requirements on their premises, equipment and facilities, towards the acquisition of Halal Certification.

What is SERTU?

Sertu is purification of any parts of the body that came in contact with mughallazah najis (dog or swine) with water mixed with soil once and mutlak water six times.

Commonly known as a method of cleaning by using seven parts of mutlaq water, with one part or water mixed with clean soil, it is widely used in halal industry to purify utensils, surfaces, equipment, or tools that have been contaminated by any impure or non-halal element such as dogs, pigs, boar and all its derivatives as well as blood and carrion.

Apart from that, the Islamic cleansing ritual will also be required when halal food comes into direct contact with non-halal or indirectly contaminated with alcoholic drinks or when water is contaminated with intoxicants or other impurities mixed.

All in all, Sertu cleaning is an essential practice in Islam, empowering spiritual and physical purity. Incorporating this cleaning process into your daily routine promotes both physical cleanliness and spiritual well-being.

Sertu cleaning embodies the holistic approach of Islam towards purity, emphasizing not only the physical cleanliness of the body and surroundings but also the spiritual purification of the soul. This practice fosters mindfulness and discipline, and their duty to maintain integrity in all aspects of life.

Sertu exemplifies Islam's profound emphasis on both outward purification and inward reflection, encapsulating the harmonious integration of ritualistic practices with profound spiritual growth.
